It's About to Get Serious...

Okay, so for the past few months or so I've stuck to posts that are fun and full of link ups. Surprisingly, when I sat down at the computer today to work on another link up and jokingly complain (because it's not really complaining if I make it sound like a big JUST KIDDING) about my very boring weekend, I couldn't do it.

Why?

Because I am going crazy. Yes, crazy as in Britney Spears shaved head kinda crazy.... well... maybe not that extreme. Plus... I like my hair.

October is around the corner and I feel the pressure of trying to decide what I want to do. I'm so used to knowing exactly where I'm going. This is the first time in my life where I've never known where I am going to be next year.

And it seems like I can't make a decision about ANYTHING.

First, I thought I had decided that I am going to put off taking the GRE because I don't think I am going to grad school but for taking that option away from myself scares me.

A life without classes? No homework? Whaaaaat??? I just can't fathom it.

School is what I'm good at. It's what I've done for 17 years of my life. Now, I know you guys are thinking I'm some weird loser but oh well. I wear my nerd proudly.

At this point I don't even know where I even want to live. Do I want to stay here, even though I don't really like this city? Do I want to move back to St. Louis? At first St. Louis wasn't an option but the more and more I think about it, it keeps popping up.

The plan was to move up North but what in the world kinda jobs can a writing graduate find in Northern Indiana?

I realize, yes, it's only October but when you don't have the slightest clue what you're going to do, October quickly becomes January and January quickly becomes May. I would feel better if I had even the slightest clue what I'm going to do in the next 9 months.

I feel like if I don't start deciding I'm gonna lose time and I'll be the writing graduate still working at a dead end job I have no real interest in.  I don't want to waste time not knowing what I want to do. I'd rather not have my life be a mystery to even me.

Can ya see why this is an internal struggle?

So I pose this question to you fellow transitioners and college grads, how did you beat the post grad (whether college or high school) panic?

I will be back tomorrow with a fun post, don't worry!

Gettin' Social on a Sunday

Note: This should have posted yesterday but it did not. But here ya go!

Sunday Social

It's time to link up with Neely for another Sunday Social!

1. What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of?
I have always wanted to go jet skiing. That just sounds so fun.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I really hope I have a decent job with a steady income. I hope to be in at least a relationship or married.

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?Honestly, 2012 can take it's sweet time. I graduate in May and I'm not ready for this chapter in my life to be over. I guess I'm looking forward to making more memories to add to this amzing part of my life before it's over. Also, I'm looking forward to the 21st when all those crazy end of the world people are standing around looking stupid.

4. What are your hopes for your blog?Well first, I hope to hit 100 followers. I also hope that people are enjoying reading it. I do this because I enjoy writing it, not because I see it as a job.

5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?Oh gosh no. NEVER. I am looking forward to leaving here someday.

6. What is your morning routine?Yell at alarm. Press snooze. Yell at alarm again. Shower. Check Facebook and E-mail. Get dressed. Put on make up if there's time. Eat breakfast if there's time (yeah, I'm one of those people), make sure I have everything I need and then I'm out. I'm am the complete opposite of a morning person which I hate. I wish mornings were easy for me. But, they are not.

Enjoy the rest of your weekends!

My Favorite F-Bomb

...is Friday of course! What did ya think it was?

Anywho, it's the end of another week. I swear if time doesn't slow down I'm gonna murder it... seriously.

Yesterday I wasn't able to do Random Thursday with Lin, Em, and Sarah but I love the topic so much that I am going to do my RT on a Friday!

This week's prompt:
So here are the shows I am looking forward to most for the fall...

Anyone who reads my blog regularly knows my favorite show is How I Met Your Mother. I am so beyond excited for the new season to premire.

Another show I'm looking forward too is Once Upon a Time. I still haven't seen last season's finale because I started working on Sundays so I'll have to catch up.

And lastly, I can't forget Sheldon....

So there's my very small tv line up. I really don't watch much tv but I try not to miss these shows. Oh! And a new one I hope to catch (simply because I just LOVE Sophia Bush is:

Well that's all I've got for today. And in case you're missing Furbaby Friday...

Also, I will be making a pretty big announcement next week for an October giveaway/contest/fundraising type thing... not really sure what to call it but yeah... stay tuned!

Have a great weekend loves!

7 Questions and Online Dating Disaster

Hey Blogger Muffins!

It's Wednesday which means 7 Questions with Gentri Lee!

Here is my goofy picture:

Yep, we're some hotties
{One}
Do you ever have reoccurring dreams?

I rarely dream which is weird so no.
  {Two} It's the first day of Fall (or Spring for you southern hemispherers) in a few days, what are you looking forward to most?

I'm with Gentri on this. I LOVE fall so I'm pretty much looking forward to everything.....the weather, the leaves, the clothes, the baking, the bonfires, the festivals... yes. I'm a little fall obsessed.
{Three}
Because a lack of coordination, would you rather not be able to tie your shoes or cut your own food?
Tie my shoes... hello flip flops? I hate shoes to behin with.

{Four}
Would you rather live in a house made entirely of glass or a house with no windows?
Hmmm I like windows, but I don't want to invite creepers to my front door... I don't know how to answer this one.
{Five}
Would you rather walk on you toes or heels forever?
My heels
{Six}
What's your favorite sense? (you have 5 btw)
Sight. I don't know how I would truly live without seeing the beauty that surrounds us everyday.
{Seven}
What's your favorite movie quote of all time?
I have WAY too many. I love "SLAPA DA BAAAASS" from I Love You Man so that's what I'm going with lol

Go link up with Gentri Lee. She always has some very fun questions!

On another note, Sarah over at [life of love] has been showcasing some good and mostly bad (and funny) online dating disasters each week in her segment called OKCupid Castastrophes. This week she has shared one of my own stories so head on over and read about how I was propositioned to be a part of a Threesome. Yeah, you know you want to read it now. So go HERE.

Well that's all folks. Enjoy your Wednesday!

Who Says Ya Can't Have Fun on a Tuesday?

Today's Tuesday is full link ups. But I didn't wanna pick just one, so I'm doing them all =]

First, I haven't done a Ten On Tuesday in forever and I miss it so I am linking up with Linny's Vault! If you don't know Lin then you need to head over and check her out now. She is just plain awesome!

{One}
Sometimes being a student sucks. I got three hours of sleep last night because of a 12 page science fiction story. It was interesting to venture into new writing territory but boy did it kick my ass.

{Two}
How I Met Your Mother premires in one week!!! I am so beyond excited.

{Three}
My room is officially unpacked and decorated! Someday I will take pictures... today was obviously not that day.

{Four}
I am in the begining stages of planning a bridal shower/ engagement celebration for my best friend/roommate. I'm keeping it a surprise (good thing she doesn't read my blog eh?)

{Five}
I love my friends and I don't know if I express that enough. No matter how far away they are. My friend Ashley lives allllll the way in Georgia but she feels like a foot away sometimes. She definitely proves to me each day that distance is not a measure of friendship.
{Six}
I am skipping class right now... yes, I am horrible.

{Seven}
I am super, super excited Jason Aldean AND Three Days Grace have new albums coming out in October. They are my absolute favorites of all time from the two genres of fiction I listen to most.
{Eight}
My poor Cardinals keep losing. It's sad to see them on such a losing streak this close to the end of the season but I support my guys nonetheless.

{Nine}
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. As you know, this cause is really personal for me and a big deal. I'm think of doing a fundraiser type thing or a giveaway or a contest of some sort so stay posted.

{Ten}
I have two days off work... let the sleeping commence.
**********

Now it's time for my second link up! I've been wanting to participate in the Daily Dish with Bella and Nat since it started but I haven't had the time to write a post that does it justice. But today's topic is one I could never pass up: Disney Faves.

I am a HUGE Disney fan and that is an understatement. My all-time favorite movie is Aladdin. I could watch this movie over and over and over and NEVER grow tired of it.

In lieu of Aladdin, here are some of my many other Disney Favorites!

Now it's your turn! Need a fun link up? Check out Ten on Tuesday or The Daily Dish. Both are loads of fun!

Me, Myself, & I

Hello lovely readers! Today I'm having a little link up party with myself so enjoy my double posting (better than double dipping even in Papa John's Garlic Sauce).

First I am linking up for the first time with Breanna, Shane, Kristen, Danielle, Jenna & Amanda. I've been wanting to participate in the link up for awhile so I'm very happy to be doing it today!

[One]
When you're feeling down, what do you do to pick yourself back up?
I call my mom. There's a number of other things I do like write a journal entry, blast some music, or sleep, but all those things never happen before I call my mom. My mom and I are really close and calling her always makes anything better.
[Two]
If you had to live in a different time period, which would you prefer?
Definitely the 60's or 70's. I am huge into the Beatles so it would have been great to see them at their prime. Plus, being a hippie would have been awesome.

Source: bing.com via Nicole on Pinterest

[Three]
What is the most creative Halloween costume you have ever worn?
I'll admit, I'm not big into dressing up for Halloween. BUT, one year, I went to a party with my friends and dressed up like a hippie. I tie dyed my own shirt and everything so that was fun.

[Four]
Five weird things about you that we wouldn't know without being told?
1. I'm claustrophobic.
2. When I am excited, "Dude" is used far too much in my vocabulary.
3. I can't lie without laughing.
4. Secretly, I know all the words to "Just Lose It" by Eminem and will rap it from memory, white girl accent and all.
5. I am not a morning person.

[Five]
What would you tell your sixteen year old self?
It's not the end of the world.
Be yourself.
Never settle for less.
Don't let your shyness hold you back.

My Blog is Ryan Gosling....

Class.
Write a 12 page short story.
Class.
Work.
Work.
Exam.
Read 100 pages of this novel and that novel.
Eat.
Shower.
Breathe.

Yep, senior year is in full kill myself mode. Okay... so I'm being a little dramatic. But seriously.

I went from having so much full time to do anything like sit on my butt all day be completely productive, to having barely time to brush my teeth ( don't worry, I've been brushing my teeth people. Darn me and those exaggerations).

And blogging... oh how I miss blogging on a regular basis. Right now my blog is like a long lost lover who looks like Ryan Gosling and I long to see because we have an unrequited love.... ok I've been reading a little too much Renaissance poetry lately.

Yep, I'd totally link up with that
 But seriously, I miss my blog. I miss it like chocolate when you're on a diet or summer when it's winter or like Noah missed Alllie....

Say I'm a blog! No. Say it! If you're a blog, I'm a blog.
I wish my blog would build me a house so I could just blog on it all day and never leave and then school (which I'm engaged to if you haven't noticed) will find me and discover I have betrayed it with my blog. But my blog and I will live happily ever after and die together in an old folks home....*cue the dramatic sappy music*

See... my life is The Notebook.

Oh well, my blog and I will reunite on a more daily basis soon.

Hope ya'll enjoy your Mondays! If not, well... just look at this:

Yep, my blog's got swag.

Furbaby Friday [v.7]

Hello lovelies! It's time for another installment of Furbaby Friday! This week we have Katie from  Married With a Pup! She is super awesome and her blog is really fun to read so head on over and check her out!

Katieedit

Hi, it’s Katie from Married...With a Pup!  I’m so excited to be over here on Furbaby Friday, because if there is anything to know about me, it is that I have a pup and his name is Brutus!  I talk about him a lot over on my blog and also other things such as fashion, DIY crafts, food, and everyday life.

So, let’s start at the beginning with Mr. Brutus….

008 (3)e

We got Brutus on Valentine’s Day of 2010.  Up until that point, I had never ever EVER had a puppy before.  So, Brutus is and will forever be my first born err, my first dog :-)  I’ve wanted a Yorkie since, well, for about forever!!  Derek (my husband) and I had been talking about getting a dog since we were married and living together.  Then on Valentine’s Day weekend, we decided it would be the PERFECT weekend!

DSC_0035edit

We already knew we would name him Brutus.  Why, you ask?  Well because I went to The Ohio State University…only the best college in the world!  Their mascot’s name is Brutus, and since we are both Buckeye fans, the name seemed to be perfect.  In fact, Brutus is a huge Buckeye fan as well…he secretly thinks he is the mascot for OSU.

008 (2)e

When we go to pick him up, there is just him and his brother left.  We didn’t care about size at all (we knew already Yorkies could be super tiny or relatively small).  However, Brutus was the runt of his litter so we decided to go for him.  His parents were 6 and 7 pounds.  Therefore, Brutus was estimated to be either that size or smaller.  Because we named him Brutus, everybody gave us a hard time and said that sooner or later, Brutus would grow into his name.  And boy has he ever…

9edit

Mr. Brutus is now 12 pounds!!  We consider him the biggest Yorkie around.  However, we also think he is the fastest little guy out there too.  Regardless of his size, we love him!!  He is seriously crazy but loves to show everybody his affection.  Can’t help but to smile when I think of Brutus!

Thanks so much for allowing me to introduce Brutus and tell you a little bit about him!
-Katie

Have a good weekend everyone!

Sunday Social =]

It's time for another installment of Sunday Social with Neely. This week the questions are great! They're all about blogging. And seriously, who doesn't like blogging?

1. What's the name of your blog and how did you come up with it?
Okay, so my blog has undergone A LOT of name changes. First is was, Living, Laughing & Loving. Then it was Chasing Sunshine. Now, it is Revision Makes Perfect and I'm sure this is the final change. I don't remember how I came up with it but I love it. I chose it because I am a writing major so revision is something I know all about. My blog is about my life pretty much and like a story, life undergoes a lot of revision. So that's why I chose the name =]

2. What do you love most about blogging?
I have had a blog since 2008 and what kept me blogging was my love for writing. It wasn't until a few months ago that I started putting myself out in the blogging community and now I love it even more. I love writing something and having people respond to it. But that's not even the best part. I get to meet all these wonderful people because of it.

3. What are your two favorite posts you've written?
This question makes me feel a little conceited haha
I guess I would have to say this post I wrote about Aurora, Colorado and this post where I wrote A Letter to Myself.
4. What is something you'd want to tell someone just starting out in the blog world?
BE YOURSELF. No one wants to read another carbon copy of a blog so let your personality shine.

5. Biggest blogging learning experience you've had?
I've always been a bit hestitant when it comes to putting myself out there and blogging has kinda helped me break that shell.

6. Give us 3 blogs we need to be following that you love.
Hmm, definitely Living in Yellow, Scribble-N-Dash, and Linny's Vault. BUT 2 others I love to read are Yellow Umbrella and Land of Candy Canes. Sorry I couldn't just name one. I love too many!

Furbaby Friday {v. 6}

Hey beautiful blogging muffins!

Yes, I said muffins. Why? Because muffins are cute. The End.

Speaking of cute things, it is Friday which means another installment of Furbaby Friday!

Sadly, I do not have a lovely guest blogger to brag about their fuzzy little muffins (yep, I'm rolling with this muffin business). So, I'm doing a little improvising.

I didn't want to deprive Furbaby Friday readers of their weekly cute overload so I've decided to share some uber adorable pictures of furbabies from Pinterest.

Again, if you would like to be a guest blogger for me and talk about your pet (s) e-mail me at revisionmakesperfect@gmail.com!

Also, if you know any bloggers who talk about their pets, send them my way or email me their url so I can shoot them an email and get them on Furbaby Friday!

Now, on to cuteness.
