When I Was 17 & Nine Loves

This week's topic is "When I Was 17..."

Okay so when I first saw the topic the first thing I thought of Mandy Moore's song 17, ya know from her super pop days.

Anywhoo.... on to the questions!

Let me just start by saying I LOVED when I was 17. It was one of my favorite ages.

1. When you were 17, tell us what kind of car you drove, where you worked, and what you were usually up to on the weekends?

I didn't have a car (still don't). I was super involved in school so my life was spent doing a lot of volunteering and peer mentoring and artsy stuff... yeah I was school nerd. My parents were really strict so on the weekends I basically just hung out with my family and did homework. Yep, I sound super lame.


2. Show us a picture of you when you were 17 {roughly}.

3. When you were 17, tell us what you wanted to be when you "grew up."

I was just transistioning out of my "artist" phase and deciding I wanted to be a writer.


4. When you were 17, tell us the kind of boys that you dated. Did you have a type? Do you have a relationship you remember well? Tell us about it.

Like I said my parents were strict... so I didn't really date. So I didn't really have a type. I started dating my ex-fiance when I was 17 though. I remember it pretty well because he was my first love and well, things were really good at that age. Obviously he's my ex now because as we matured it just wasn't working. But being 17 and in love with no worries was amazing.


5. When you were 17, tell us where you pictured your life 10 years from then. Did it turn out the way you expected it to?

Well I'm still within the ten years, but I saw myself having a college degree, writing and married, hopefully planning on or already having kids. So far I'm doing good. When I'm 27 ask me if I've got the career, marriage, and kids down ;)

Now it's time for my nine loves!

So, besides my family, friends, and furbaby.... here's what I love.

{One}
Fall. It is my favorite season and October is my favorite month. My future husband doesn't know it yet but he's marrying me in October lol. I have such a deep love for fall, it's ridiculous.

{Two}
Rivers. I grew up on a river, my college town is on a river... I just love the river and spending time on it.

{Three}
Country music. I grew up listening to old rock and went through a pretty heavy rock phase but then I moved in with my roommate and it changed. Country has been my most listened to genre for quite sometime.

{Four}
Rain. I love listening to it. It inspires me to be creative.

{Five}
Coffee. It's my drug.

{Six}
BASEBALL! I am like the biggest Cardinals fan you could ever meet. Seriously. I love for baseball season.

{Seven}
Road trips. Nothing is better than friends, music, and open road.

{Eight}
How I Met Your Mother... but you all knew that :)

{Nine}
Myself. It took me a long time to get to this point but I can say I love myself and that's the greatest love you could ever have <3>
